#12 yeah!

And here is my final block for 2012's BOM. I finally found it embarrased to say clipped to my design wall nice and safe. geeze :). It's painful being organized sometimes:). I'm late posting my final block as I've already started quilting. I'm loving how it's turning out! I'm using Leah Day's quilt as you go method and just think it's brilliant.

And I loved it so much I signed up for 2 spots for this year's BOM so the quilt will be big enough for our bed hopefully. It's a sampler quilt and I chose the color way with a gray background and solid Kona colors for the designs. can't wait!

BOM #11

Here is number 11. This one might be my favorite.

I was so close to finishing my BOM on time....however......I lost my 12th block. I know I picked it up, and I'm sure it made it home, but somewhere in the holiday shuffle and quickly leaving town I've lost it. I can't make a quilt with 11 blocks!

Now, I'm afraid instead of finishing this first thing in 2013, I'll be adding to my UFO pile - I was suppose to be reducing it! I know I'll find it somewhere. I think someone in the house is playing a joke on me and waiting to see how long it takes before I go mad. Joke's on them :).

I'll give it a month...then  maybe search online for a star I haven't done to finish it off. Any ideas or links?

Ok, doing a little catch up here. I'm a little burnt out on Christmas gift making....I finishes two yesterday. Christmas gifts put a little pressure on me so I wanted just to sew for fun. Not sure what the difference is but I get nervous and stressed when sewing for someone becasue I want it to be perfect....maybe too perfect. I do love making gifts so please don't get me wrong....even more I love watching my loved ones open handmade gifts. Especially my sisters and mom.

I am a wee behind on my BOM......ha ha yes again:). September's Star reminds me a lot of #4. I think the difference are the corners. I just finished Septembers today and I also finished a fun little project I'm entering into a competition. More on that later this week. I still need to take some pics. I'm super exited about it though and think you will love it!

BOM 7 & 8

These two months don't have any text in them like to others but I think it will help balance out the star sampler. The top star I actually swapped out some of the fabric they gave me because I didn't like it. Shhh....don't tell them though.

I'm hoping to finish September's block this week and then pick up Octobers :). At the rate I'm moving this week though it will most likely be November:).

I'm beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel with catching up on my BOM stars. Each month they get pushed aside of larger projects get literally put on top of them and out of sight....out of mind. Only a few more to go!

Here is the Block for April, with Elise being born in March I started getting a little behind, but slowly by slowly I'm going to catch up!

 Here's my third BOM (block of the month) from Quilt Beginnings - $2 a block including fabric isn't bad at all. So far I've liked all the fabric and I'm enjoying the modern text fabric mixed with the traditional stars.
