Box Step Pattern

The talented AnneMarie over GenX Quilters has just come out with another incredible quilt pattern and I was lucky enough to be asked to be one of her testers....(squeal!) The pattern is called Box Step and it is great.

I did the box step baby size and I can't wait to gift it to a special expectant mother later this year!

The Box Step comes in three different sizes and the pattern is loaded with pictures and lots of helpful hints. I've been so intimidated by flying geese and AnneMarie shares her method that is so quick and easy, I couldn't believe I'd been avoiding them for this long!

She is also offering it on sale right now for $4.99! So if you are ready for a new pattern....which I say you are, go grab this one. You won't be disappointed. Also, go check out AM's version on her blog....you'll be drooling over her fabric selections.

Vintage Lion Dress

Used a bit of my vintage lion fabric to make this sweet little dress. I love the circle yoke. I made it the next size up for E so it might be a little bit before she wears it. The pattern is from Peek-a-Boo Patterns. Go check them out and help support this sweet little mommy. Her little ones are too cute!

oh for the love of embroidery hoops..............

simply said.... i. love. embroidery hoops.

I saw a pouch on pinterest with this little sewing machine on it for the person's sewing notions as they travel and I just fell in love with the scrappy little machine.

So here is what I was inspired to make for my girlfriend's birthday

It's a small hoop just about 6 inches but the little machine is so stinking sweet. Now I'm itching to make myself one for my bare wall in my sewing room.

Happy Birthday A!

80's throw back

So, I really wish I could have styled little bit with a scrunchie or some leg warmers for this picture, however, this shirt is so awesome it really speaks for itself.

Yep - Wonder Woman....Jr. so cool

I found this goodie in a box of clothing my mom gave to me when I was pregnant. The box was mainly sweet little dress my mom made for me. This little shirt was snuck in and gave me the biggest kick this weekend when I found it again. Yes, it's a little short but we're just hanging around the house today and it is cracking us up. I have even found E lifting it up to look at the characters on it.

Check out the back!

It's no invisible boat or plane but her giraffe will do.

p.s. - don't forget I'm going through my stash all week and adding fabric to the shop.
