Wooden USB Drive

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's been a quiet week, still unpacking and settling from vacation last week. We had a great time at the beach, playing with cousins and being kissed by aunts and uncles.

 Elise loved the sand.

So, not much sewing has been happening but the woodshop got some time this week. Brian's been busy planning out a few Christmas gifts and walked in proudly one night with this beauty.

 Any guesses?

I thought it looked like a lighter or a tic tac box.
I guess by the title I did give it away:)

It's a wooden cased USB drive for...someone:). Nah, they don't read this blog so this is no spoiler. He used Black Walnut for the casing and then mounted a 8gig jump drive into it.

I think the wood is gorgeous and love how he used a knotty piece to show off it's uniqueness and natural beauty.

On the bottom he did engrave a set of initials so there's no way I get to "accidentally" keep this one. A smart one he is.

  2. That is cool. My kids have lost so many USB drives bet if they had one that cool they could keep from loosing it.
